Prior to use, verify the product arrived in good condition.



Cleaning the rain gauge


You may find THIS VIDEO useful


  • Check that the filter in the pot (aka funnel or collector) is not clogged:



  • Check that mechanism (bucket) tips over smoothly;
  • Make sure the bucket is properly cleaned;


Dirt disrupts the sensor calibration!

 


Preparing the rain gauge for the test

  • Make sure the pot is leveled;


The pot has a bubble for the visual indication of the level. If it has already dried, you can use a plumb line.


Testing the rain gauge


If the sensor is not accurate, you can re-calibrate it. To do so, please, visit CALIBRATING AND TESTING - RAIN GAUGE



You can also monitor the readings during the test using a computer connected to the weather station. To do so, enter the main menu of your device and do a sensor testing. You may find the following articles useful:
