FieldClimate Reauthentication

Dear FieldClimate users, on 4 August 2026, FieldClimate will introduce a platform-wide user experience and security enhancement update. The release delivers a refreshed login and registration experience, a mandatory one-time re-authentication process for existing web users.

All existing web users will be required to complete a short account verification process during their next login. This process includes confirming account details, creating a new password that meets enhanced security standards, and reviewing personal information, as outlined below in Refresh Login and Registration Flow.

Mobile app users (always logged in) and API-only users are NOT affected. Mobile re-authentication will follow in a second release. New password requirements apply also to mobile for new signups and forgot password flow (routes through browser)

The process takes less than 2 minutes to be completed.

Who is Affected?

The registration process has been revamped to a tidy multi-step format, making it simple to complete on mobile through the browser as well.

Upon logging in, users will be guided through the entire process and confirm user data as follows:

1. Account Security

• Email - this field is pre-filled and it is editable
• New password: 8–20 chars; 1 uppercase; 1 lowercase; 1 number

Username is not affected and it is not editable

2. Personal Details - all fields mandatory:

• First Name: this field is pre-filled and it is editable
• Last name: this field is pre-filled and it is editable
• Country: it is pre-filled based on your IP address and it is editable
• Language: auto from country. editable

3. Check Your Email Inbox

• A verification link will be sent to the specified email;
• Click on the link to verify your account;
• Once you have verified it, you can log into FieldClimate;

Shared credentials risk: if one user changes password, others may be blocked. KAMs should contact administrators of shared accounts before 4th August. Individual users need no action before the release.

4. Professional Profile - In-App

• Sector & Role: Agriculture; Connected Software; Golf & Turf; Research Institute; NGO / Non-Proft; Government; Other
• For Agriculture selection only:
  • Farmer role:
    • Produce type: Viticulture, Fruit & Orchards, Arable, Vegetables, Protected Crops, Grassland, Mixed/Other
    • Irrigation system: Yes / No
    • Pest management: Organic / Mixed / Conventional
  • Consultant role:
    • Produce type only

Q&A

Q: Do I need to change passwords for all my clients?

A: No. Each user completes the self-service flow themselves on next login. No action required from KAMs - except for shared credential accounts (contact administrator only).

Q: Will users be locked out on 4th August?

A: No, they are not locked out. Users are guided through a 2-minute flow on next login.
